Position: Healthcare Assistant at Bodmin Dialysis Unit.
Hours: 18.75 per week.
Shift pattern: Monday-Saturday, 6:30 am-6:00 pm.
Pay: £25,500 per year pro-rata.
Requires NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (preferred). Experience with clinical support and equipment maintenance is desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, restore and maintain clinical areas and equipment for dialysis treatments.
- Ensure a safe treatment environment for patients, relatives and visitors.
- Assist with patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Perform regular walking between patients and some lifting tasks.
- Maintain data and documentation with accurate computer usage.
- Participate in ongoing training and quality-management activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (preferred).
- Experience or interest in a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Pro-active, reliable and able to work independently while supporting a multidisciplinary team.
