Role Description
This full-time Truck Driver role is based on-site in Doncaster. The Truck Driver will operate company trucks to transport waste, skips, and recyclable materials between customer locations and company facilities, following scheduled routes and collection times. Daily tasks include conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring loads are secure, and safely loading and unloading materials as required. The role involves complying with all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations, maintaining accurate delivery and collection records, and promptly reporting any incidents or vehicle issues. The Truck Driver will work closely with dispatch and site teams to support efficient waste transfer, recycling operations, and excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong truck operation skills, including Truck Driving experience and familiarity with commercial Truck use.
- Candidates should possess a valid LGV Cat. C / Class 2 Licence.
- Candidates should possess a solid understanding of DOT Regulations and other relevant transport and safety standards.
- Candidates should possess practical skills in safe loading and Unloading of waste, skips, and recyclable materials.
- Candidates should possess good communication skills, reliability, and the ability to follow route schedules and instructions.
- Previous experience in waste management, construction, or industrial transport is beneficial.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle checks, report maintenance needs, and work safely in outdoor and industrial environments.
Typical Duties
- Delivery And Collection Of Skips At Commercial And Private Premises.
- Maintaining Cleanliness Of Skips And Wagon.
- Reporting Roadworthiness Of Wagon + Damages To Skips/Equipment.
- Completion Of Waste Transfer Related Paperwork And Consignment Notes.
Minimum Qualifications And Experience.
- Completed Drivers CPC Qualification (must possess a DQC).
- Competent At Maths And English.
The Following Would Be Advantageous.
- Knowledge Of Local Area And Roads.
- Clean Driving Licence.
- Clean Background Checks (For Sensitive Site Work).
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Attention to detail and safety-conscious
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.94 per hour 7:00AM - 3:45PM
£22.41 - £29.88 per hour outside the above hours
