About the job:
CGTN Radio is a part of China Global Television Network. We break news and tell stories that matter to our target audience with a focus on China, from both inside and outside the country. Our products include the news program \”The Beijing Hour\”, and a range of podcasts such as \”Takeaway Chinese,\” which help students tackle one of the world\’s toughest languages. We also reach millions of people through our website and social media channels.
With this job, you will have an opportunity to:
• Host news programs on air and do live interviews;
• Sit in for hosts of other radio programs and take part in our promotional events;
• Write and edit news for both radio broadcast and our website;
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
To apply, you should have:
• A Bachelor\’s degree or above;
• Outstanding communication skills;
• At least two years of media work experience;
• Good news writing and editing skills;
• Excellent presenting skills;
• Intimate knowledge of current affairs, particularly as pertaining to China;
• The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines;
• Flexibility and ability to work during irregular hours, weekends, and holidays;
• Team spirit and be open-minded.
