Are you ready to lead and innovate in a role that shapes the future of radiology systems across the South Island? We are looking for a Regional Radiology Systems Manager to provide strategic leadership and operational excellence for vital imaging and reporting systems.
About the role
As the SI Regional Radiology Systems Manager, you will be at the forefront of managing the South Island Regional (SIR) Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS) and Radiology Information System (RIS). You will act as a key partner alongside the Chief of Radiology and Operations Manager, also supporting multiple districts - West Coast, South Canterbury, and Nelson Marlborough Districts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Plan, maintain, and enhance high-quality radiology systems across the region.
- Systems Management: Oversee imaging archive and reporting systems (PACS, RIS) and ensure their optimal performance.
- Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with Radiology and Hospital staff, district partners and vendors.
- Project Leadership: Lead and direct radiology information systems projects, from development to implementation.
- Asset Management: Monitor and maintain hardware and software, ensuring data safety, system integrity, and efficiency.
About the Team / Service / Location
The South Island Regional Radiology Systems (SIRRS) Team is based in Radiology at Christchurch Hospital, providing support to Radiology applications and staff across Waitaha Canterbury and other South Island Districts. We partner with vendors and the Waitaha Canterbury Data and Digital Team to support current applications, implement new software and workflow procedures. Our focus is on system safety to support the right patient and clinical service outcomes.

- Proven leadership and project management skills.

- Strong strategic planning and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience in radiology systems management (Desirable).
