As a Software Engineer specialising in .NET MAUI, you will play a key role in building high‑quality, cross‑platform mobile applications that are secure, reliable and designed for real‑world use/impact in the UK health sector. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. Our teams operate within a flexible hybrid working model, however on‑site requirements vary by project, so the ability to travel as required to meet client needs is essential.
Your future duties and responsibilities include:
- Design & build cross‑platform mobile applications using .NET MAUI
- Develop shared application logic and UI components using C# and .NET
- Apply sound architectural principles and design patterns such as MVVM
- Integrate applications with RESTful APIs, databases and backend services
- Optimise performance, reliability and responsiveness across devices
- Identify & resolve defects and performance issues
- Produce clean, well‑documented and maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement activities
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Software Engineer with strong .NET expertise and hands‑on experience building cross‑platform mobile applications. You will bring a quality‑driven mindset, enjoy solving complex technical problems, and be comfortable working collaboratively within Agile delivery teams.
You should have:
- Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET
- Hands‑on experience developing applications using .NET MAUI or Xamarin.Forms
- Solid understanding of mobile application architecture and design patterns
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and backend services
- Ability to write clean, maintainable and well‑structured code
- Strong communication skills and experience working in collaborative teams
