As a Cloud Project Technical Architect, you will shape and implement secure, high-performing environments that drive measurable outcomes for clients. You will contribute to complex projects, ensuring delivery across cloud platforms while continuously improving service quality and operational excellence. This is a hybrid position and requires UK Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain it.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and implement cloud-based solutions that meet client requirements, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and to high-quality standards.
- Own technical delivery across Azure environments, translating detailed designs into built, patched, and configured systems while adhering to security and change control processes.
- Produce clear documentation and support handovers to operational teams to enable continuity.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders, contributing ideas to improve delivery efficiency and technical standards; work across CGI offices, client sites, and remote locations, including occasional out-of-hours support for critical changes.
- Implement cloud environments using Azure services and Infrastructure as Code.
- Perform OS installations, patching, and firmware updates aligned to best practices.
- Adhere to change control, security, and ISO standards.
- Produce high-quality documentation and support business-as-usual handovers.
- Work with onshore and offshore teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Strong technical expertise in cloud architecture and Windows Server environments, with the ability to follow structured implementation plans and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Proactive communicator who can work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps and Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server architecture.
- Proven ability to install, patch, and configure enterprise systems.
- Experience working within ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards.
- Ability to follow detailed technical designs and implementation plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- UK Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance.
