Position Description

We are looking for a Senior Commercial Lead to take responsibility for contract management issues across a portfolio of contracts, including negotiation of contracts during bid stages and post contract management of those contracts. Your future duties and responsibilities

In the role you will need to:

  • Take overall responsibility for the ownership of contract related matters and bids;
  • Be the trusted advisor to the business on commercial matters and provide commercial strategy to support the business plans;
  • Demonstrate leadership and the ability to influence senior teams and project management teams in reviews, change management and dispute resolution;
  • Propose continuous improvement of the commercial processes and practices, and proactive sharing of best commercial practice amongst the wider community, encouraging team members to participate in continuous improvement and innovation;
  • Make a valued contribution at senior level management meetings;
  • Review and agree proposals to mitigate commercial risk in contracts and identify any further mitigations which may be appropriate;
  • Challenge unacceptable risk relating to contracts with the senior leaders in the business;
  • Lead the proactive avoidance and resolution of issues and disputes escalated to them;
  • Act in a manner consistent with the CGI values, and inspire and foster such behaviour in relationships with clients, subcontractors and CGI partners.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

  • Bring significant experience in a comparable industry, with a proven track record of managing a diverse portfolio of contracts.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of contract law and its application.
  • Exhibit a professional and confident approach, with the ability to handle challenging situations involving clients and subcontractors effectively.
  • Be resilient under pressure, adept at managing multiple tasks at varying stages, and comfortable navigating high-pressure situations
  • You must have or be able to obtain SC clearance.
