We are looking for a Salesforce Administrator to join our growing Salesforce capability across Scotland and Northern Ireland, supporting the delivery and ongoing enhancement of a major public sector Salesforce platform. This role offers the opportunity to work across both live service support and implementation delivery, helping to maintain platform stability, improve user experience, and contribute to continuous innovation.
Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will develop your Salesforce expertise while playing a key role in delivering secure, scalable, and business-critical solutions that support long-term transformation and service excellence. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a primarily remote position with occasional client site travel as required.

Future Duties and Responsibilities
In this role, you will support the ongoing administration, maintenance, and enhancement of a live Salesforce platform within a major public sector environment. You will act as a key member of both the service support and implementation delivery teams, helping to maintain platform stability, resolve incidents, and contribute to the successful rollout of new functionality and improvements. You will work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and client stakeholders to support user management, platform configuration, security administration, and release activities. Alongside supporting live services, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping optimise processes, enhance user experience, and ensure the platform remains secure, scalable, and aligned to evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and administer Salesforce platform operations and user management activities
- Manage and maintain profiles, roles, permission sets, and access controls
- Investigate and resolve Salesforce-related incidents, requests, and production issues
- Configure and support Salesforce objects, fields, flows, validation rules, and page layouts
- Collaborate and deliver enhancements alongside implementation and delivery teams
- Monitor and improve platform performance, data quality, and operational stability
- Contribute and support testing, release management, and deployment activities
- Maintain and produce support documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles
- Support and enhance role-based access controls and Salesforce security best practices
- Identify and improve automation opportunities and service improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have hands‑on Salesforce administration experience alongside strong problem‑solving skills and a customer‑focused mindset. You will bring experience supporting live environments, an understanding of Salesforce platform configuration, and the ability to work collaboratively within Agile delivery teams supporting both operational support and project delivery activities.
Essential Qualifications
- Hands‑on experience in Salesforce Administration or Salesforce platform support
- Strong understanding of profiles, roles, permission sets, and sharing rules
- Experience supporting live service or operational support environments
- Familiarity with incident, problem, and service management processes
- Experience configuring Salesforce objects, fields, flows, and validation rules
- Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and tools such as Jira
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem‑solving skills
- Good communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and support requests effectively
Desirable Qualifications
- Salesforce Administrator certification
- Experience supporting public sector Salesforce implementations
- Exposure to Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS)
- Experience with Case Management or Salesforce Scheduler
- Experience supporting both BAU support and implementation delivery activities
