This is a hybrid role, you can be based anywhere in the UK with the caveat that you must be able to attend our Belfast office once a month. All applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) to Security Check (SC) level as a minimum.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement MuleSoft APIs and integrations to support digital transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to understand integration requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Develop API-led connectivity solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Create and maintain RAML and OpenAPI specifications for RESTful APIs.
• Ensure best practices in API security, governance, and performance optimization.
• Perform unit testing and integration testing to validate API functionality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in integration services.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to automate API deployments.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior developers and stakeholders.
• Stay updated on MuleSoft product updates, API management trends, and industry best practices.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Demonstrable experience in MuleSoft development (CloudHub 2.0).
• Strong expertise in API development, microservices architecture, and integration patterns.
• Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Anypoint Studio.
• Ideally proficiency in DataWeave, RAML, JSON, XML, SOAP, and RESTful services.
• Hands-on experience with MuleSoft connectors, transformations, and message processors.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and on-prem hybrid integrations.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture, messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS), and ETL processes.
• Experience with OAuth, JWT, SAML, and API security best practices.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Exposure to Salesforce
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have, but not essential:

• Exposure to ServiceNow, or other enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization for API deployments.
