Join CGI as a Linux Infrastructure Engineer and help shape resilient, highâavailability platforms that power critical services across our Space, Defence & Intelligence business.
In this role you will design, build and optimise Linux infrastructure, applying automation, containerisation and configuration management to deliver secure, scalable services. You will collaborate across teams, own endâtoâend engineering activities, and drive continuous improvement of platform capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Design and build resilient Red Hat and Rocky Linux infrastructure for enterpriseâgrade systems.
- Implement automation and configuration management using Ansible to enhance consistency and efficiency.
- Manage Kubernetes environments to support scalable, faultâtolerant application deployments.
- Support object storage, backup strategies, disaster recovery planning, and continuity processes.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and IaC solutions using Python, Bash, and related tooling.
- Strong handsâon experience with Red Hat and/or Rocky Linux administration.
- Proficiency with automation and configuration management, ideally Ansible.
- Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
- Understanding of object storage, backup, and recovery processes.
- Practical scripting skills using Python and/or Bash.
- Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructureâasâcode practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams in secure, highâavailability environments.
Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold the highest level of UK Security Clearance or be eligible to obtain it.
