Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. Please note this is a long-term role suited to people Gloucester-based who are able to commute daily to the client’s site five days per week.
Candidate profile:
In this role, you will lead and facilitate Agile delivery across multiple infrastructure teams, driving high-value outcomes in areas such as cloud, data centre, network, and DevOps transformation. You’ll act as the cornerstone of collaboration – enabling technical experts to deliver efficiently while maintaining alignment with business goals. You’ll coach teams to continuously improve, removing blockers and fostering a culture of ownership and innovation. Working closely with stakeholders and technical leaders, you’ll ensure delivery transparency, manage dependencies, and guide your squads toward predictable, sustainable performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead & Facilitate: Serve as Scrum Master for infrastructure squads, ensuring effective delivery through sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Coach & Empower: Support cross-functional teams in adopting Agile values, fostering collaboration and self-organisation.
- Deliver & Optimise: Drive successful delivery of infrastructure initiatives including cloud migration, automation, and platform modernisation.
- Collaborate & Align: Partner with Product Owners and leadership to maintain clear communication, backlog readiness, and sprint commitments.
- Measure & Improve: Use Agile tooling (Jira, Confluence, Teams) to monitor metrics, identify trends, and promote continuous improvement.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
You should bring strong Agile leadership experience within complex infrastructure or DevOps environments, with a passion for enabling technical teams to deliver impactful outcomes.
Essential qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in enterprise-scale infrastructure, cloud, or DevOps programmes.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery in technical environments (CI/CD, cloud, network, data centre).
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and other Agile collaboration tools.
- Relevant Agile certifications (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) are desirable.
