The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. We work, build, and operate bespoke, technically complex, mission-critical systems which help our clients keep us all safe and secure. We work collaboratively with global technology companies, cutting edge SMEs and academia to deliver the optimal solution for each client.
Candidate profile: As an Infrastructure Engineer you will:
- Seamlessly integrate development outputs into release modules.
- Spearhead their progression through relevant stages into operational service.
- Navigate the release-to-service process, including security and accreditation procedures.
- Provide technical insights and expertise on designs, solutions, tools, techniques and standards.
- Provide hands-on development of pragmatic solutions for real-world challenges.
- Troubleshoot, investigate and resolve incidents.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: A proven track record in the following domains:
- Windows and/or Redhat Linux server administration.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Java, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Expertise in configuration and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Foreman.
- Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Command over virtualization technologies including VMware, Hyper-V, and OpenShift.
- Sound grasp of network fundamentals encompassing DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching and HTTP.
- Knowledge of Azure and AWS Cloud Technologies.
