The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Incident Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of managing incidents and problems within our project/programme, ensuring that working services are restored promptly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will bring robust experience as an incident manager (or a similar role) and have a deep understanding of identifying, treating, and eliminating incidents, problems, and changes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Incident & Problem Management: Oversee and manage incidents and problems within your organisational area.
  • Operational Direction: Provide clear direction to operational teams during and after incidents.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Identify and understand the causes of incidents and determine the best methods to eliminate the root cause.
  • Impact Assessment: Plan, track, and assess the impact of incidents and problems on project deliverables and scope.
  • Incident Notifications: Manage incident notifications within agreed methods and timeframes.
  • Escalation & Reporting: Report any issues and required escalations through the appropriate channels.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • Defence Experience: Proven experience working in Defence environments.
  • Incident Management Expertise: Demonstrable experience as an incident/problem manager or in a similar role.
  • Impact Assessment: Strong knowledge and experience in assessing the impact of incidents against project scope.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Confident in managing and engaging with stakeholders.
