As a Payments Business/Functional Analyst, you will play a vital role in implementing our flagship CGI All Payments solution, ensuring it evolves to meet the needs of an international client base. Working directly with clients and multi-disciplinary teams, you will transform complex requirements into practical, high-value solutions that drive measurable impact. This is a hybrid position, but you will need to be able to work in our London or Glasgow office 2/3 days a week and travel to client sites as required for implementations. There may also be opportunities for some travel within Europe as well.
Your future duties and responsibilities
In this role, you will collaborate with global clients to capture, analyse, and document business and functional requirements for our CGI All Payments solution, with a focus on cross-border networks. You will lead workshops, create clear documentation, and translate business needs into actionable product features that guide design, development, and testing. Your work will span international implementation projects and product innovation, giving you the chance to directly influence the evolution of payments technology. You will be supported by an experienced global team, while also taking ownership of your deliverables and applying creativity to solve client challenges in a dynamic industry.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse customer requirements, goals, and processes to shape effective solutions
- Prepare and document business requirements, use cases, and user stories
- Develop process maps and analytical documentation to support solution design
- Lead client workshops and internal meetings to capture and validate requirements
- Collaborate with developers, testers, and SMEs to ensure requirements are delivered accurately
- Contribute to product evolution through involvement in CGI investment projects
- Apply knowledge of global payment schemes, standards, and messaging formats in solution delivery
- Support multiple projects in an international, agile environment
Qualifications
- Experience as a Business or Functional Analyst
- Strong expertise in writing BRDs, use cases, and user stories
- Proven ability to translate complex client requirements into actionable specifications
- Knowledge of cross-border payments and standards such as ISO20022, SWIFT InterAct, FileAct, or Validation Service
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Experience working within Agile environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work in diverse, global teams
