As a Business Analyst within our growing AIOps team, you will bridge technology and business, ensuring our clients harness observability, automation, and AI-driven insights at scale. You will engage stakeholders, drive roadmaps, and enable integration across complex tooling ecosystems to deliver solutions that empower proactive incident response and smarter decision-making. This role offers ownership of outcomes and opportunities to transform processes in a collaborative environment that values innovation.

Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to obtain it. This is a hybrid position.

Your future duties and responsibilities

In this role, you will act as the key liaison between technical teams, business units, and stakeholders, ensuring AIOps initiatives are well-defined, aligned, and delivered. You will translate complex operational and technical needs into actionable requirements, manage roadmaps, and support project delivery through effective governance and Agile practices.

You will work across a diverse ecosystem of observability, monitoring, and automation tools, identifying opportunities to improve incident response, data insights, and operational outcomes. With strong stakeholder engagement and project management, you’ll help shape strategies that drive innovation, reduce complexity, and deliver measurable value for our clients and their operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Engage & Translate: Lead workshops, elicit requirements, and turn technical needs into clear deliverables.
  • Drive & Deliver: Manage backlogs, dependencies, and project artefacts using Azure DevOps.
  • Analyse & Align: Map tooling usage, identify integration opportunities, and define KPIs.
  • Innovate & Improve: Support AI/ML-driven use cases such as anomaly detection and root cause analysis.
  • Govern & Enable: Ensure alignment with enterprise standards, compliance, and change management processes.
  • Collaborate & Influence: Build strong relationships across service lines, platform teams, and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Required Qualifications To be successful, you should have proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT Operations, DevOps, or Platform Engineering, with strong stakeholder engagement and a track record of delivering complex initiatives. Hands-on knowledge of observability tools, Agile practices, and Azure DevOps is key, along with clear communication and change management.
  • Proven Business Analysis experience in IT Operations, DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (backlogs, dashboards, Agile collaboration)
  • Knowledge of observability/monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry)
  • Demonstrable Project Management Skills With Agile Delivery Experience Familiarity with AIOps concepts such as event correlation, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics.

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC)
  • Understanding of cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with machine learning or analytics projects
  • Project management or business analysis certifications (e.g., Prince2, PMP, CBAP)
  • ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent
