Position Description:
At CGI, effective talent planning helps our teams deliver their best work and ensures we have the right skills in the right place to support our clients and business priorities. As a Junior Talent Planner within our GTO Talent Planning team in Waterton, Bridgend, you’ll help connect our partners with opportunities where they can make an impact. Working alongside experienced Talent Planners, you’ll take ownership of key resourcing activities, use data to support informed decisions and contribute ideas that improve how we work. With a collaborative team around you and opportunities to build your expertise, this 12-month secondment offers an excellent foundation for developing a career in talent planning, resourcing or workforce management.
CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK ‘Best Employer’ by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you’ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.
Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
In this role, you will support workforce planning and resourcing activities across GTO, helping ensure our partners are effectively deployed and aligned with business priorities. You’ll work closely with experienced Talent Planners, taking ownership of day-to-day coordination while building your knowledge of talent planning and workforce management.
You’ll help maintain accurate resourcing information, coordinate assignments and support colleagues moving between opportunities. You’ll also use data and reporting to support planning decisions, contribute ideas for improving processes and work within a collaborative team where you’ll have the guidance and support to develop your career.
Key Tasks:
• Match partners to open opportunities, arrange interviews and help ensure candidates receive timely, clear feedback.
• Assist with assignments, extensions and partners who are In Between Assignments (IBA).
• Process new joiners, establish profiles and assign or close Service Orders.
• Keep talent and resourcing information accurate in CGI Talento and support profile optimisation.
• Produce standard reports and workforce data to inform planning decisions and senior leadership discussions.
• Act as a point of contact for GTO resourcing queries and keep relevant stakeholders informed.
• Support talent initiatives, organisational updates and internal GTO operations, identifying opportunities to make processes more effective.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
You’ll be an organised and proactive individual with strong attention to detail and an interest in developing your career in talent planning, resourcing or workforce management. You should be comfortable building relationships with different stakeholders and working with systems, data and reports. You don’t need to know everything from day one; you’ll work alongside experienced colleagues who can support you as you develop your knowledge and confidence.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Clear interest in talent planning, resourcing or workforce management.
• Confidence working with data, systems and reports, or a strong willingness to learn.
