In this role, you will provide independent assurance across the Microsoft Dynamics 365 technical architecture within a key client programme, ensuring solutions are aligned to enterprise standards, operational requirements, and long-term scalability goals. You'll work closely with delivery teams, stakeholders, and governance forums to validate designs, integrations, security models, and deployment approaches while helping to mitigate technical and operational risks across the programme lifecycle. You'll also support the successful transition between legacy and modern platforms, assuring integration quality, system resilience, and data integrity during dual-running phases. Alongside this, you'll contribute to governance reporting, technical coaching, and knowledge transfer activities to help build sustainable capability within the client organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Lead & Assure technical architecture reviews for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions
- Validate & Govern integrations, APIs, customisations, deployments, and release processes
- Review & Strengthen security models, access controls and compliance alignment
- Support & Influence governance forums with independent assurance reporting and recommendations
- Assure & Optimise scheduling, resource optimisation and performance testing activities
- Identify & Mitigate technical, operational and transition risks across DSP and legacy systems
- Collaborate & Coach DVSA teams on architecture standards, configuration and best practices
- Monitor & Validate non-functional requirements including scalability, resilience and availability
- Document & Maintain assurance findings using Jira, Confluence and Lucid
To succeed in this role, you'll bring strong experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 architecture assurance within large-scale enterprise or public sector environments. You should be confident working across complex digital transformation programmes, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with governance, risk management, cloud-native integrations, and mission-critical scheduling solutions will be highly valuable.
Essential qualifications
- Proven experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform architecture assurance
- Strong knowledge of Dynamics 365 Field Service and Resource Scheduling Optimisation (RSO)
- Experience assuring large-scale, mission-critical digital transformation programmes
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, integrations, APIs and cloud-native solutions
- Experience reviewing security, governance, resilience and compliance requirements
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across business and technology teams
- Experience working within public sector, regulated, or highly governed environments
- Strong documentation and governance reporting skills using tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Knowledge of performance, scalability, failover and non-functional testing approaches
- Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365 or related cloud certifications desirable

You will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position with 2 days a week working on site at one of the following CGI and client offices: Nottingham, Bristol, or Birmingham.
