In this role, you will join an established CGI team delivering performance testing services for the development of the platform.
CGI has successfully supported this programme for the past 18 months, and you'll work alongside an experienced Senior Performance Tester to help ensure the solution performs reliably under varying levels of demand.
You'll review and develop performance test data, design and execute testing scenarios, analyse results, and work with delivery teams to identify opportunities to improve system performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a relevant technical background who is looking to transition into performance testing and test automation.
You'll be supported by experienced colleagues while taking ownership of your work, developing new skills and contributing to the continued success of a collaborative UK‑wide team that primarily works remotely using Microsoft Teams.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute load, stress and performance test scenarios using industry‑standard tools.
- Review and create realistic performance test data and workload models.
- Analyse and report performance test results, identifying bottlenecks and recommending improvements.
- Collaborate and support developers, testers and project stakeholders to resolve performance issues.
- Build and maintain performance test assets using modern automation tools and frameworks.
- Contribute to and improve testing processes, documentation and best practices across the programme.
Essential qualifications
- Experience with Python.
- Working knowledge of AWS and SQL.
- Experience using JMeter for performance testing.
- Experience with Postman for API testing.
- Exposure to Blaze Meter and/or Taurus.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Miro and Microsoft Teams.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a distributed team.
