Overview
In this role you lead the Marlin product line, owning the P&L and guiding Sales, Software Development, Product Management and Support. You will shape growth, market positioning, and profitability while coordinating with Sercel Concept, Sercel and Viridien. You’ll drive revenue, align initiatives with the Marine Business strategy, and steer innovation in marine software and services. This is a chance to influence product strategy and customer experience at scale.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the Marlin business strategy, including market and competitive positioning
- Own P&L with revenue forecasting, margin improvement and cost management
- Set annual targets and long-term plans aligned with Marine Business
- Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and technology trends
- Align with other business lines across Sercel Concept, Sercel and Viridien
- Drive commercial activities including sales, BD, key account management and customer acquisition
- Own the product roadmap and lifecycle management from design to release and enhancements
- Provide strategic oversight to software development for timely, high-quality releases
- Oversee technical support to ensure fast, effective customer resolution and satisfaction
- Lead budgeting, resource planning, and cost optimization
- Provide regular updates to VP Marine Business and collaborate with stakeholder across Ops, Finance, Marketing, Quality, HR
- Build and maintain a high-performing, inclusive team culture and drive staff development and compliance
Key requirements
- Significant senior experience in technology, software, marine, industrial or related environment
- Proven ability to develop products/services in new markets and drive sustainable growth
- Commercial leadership with revenue generation and P&L management experience
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to operate in ambiguity
- Strategic thinking with ability to translate into plans and outcomes
- Customer-focused with strong market development and relationship skills
- Sufficient product/technology understanding to guide development and make informed decisions
- Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams
- Strong stakeholder management and communication/influence skills
- Results-driven with accountability and adaptability
- Preferred: degree in Business, Engineering, CS, Marine Technology
- Experience in marine tech or related markets; start-up/scale-up experience; international markets; agile knowledge
