Are you motivated by turning satellite imagery into real-world insights for clients?

We are looking for an experienced Remote Sensing Specialist to support image processing and project scoping requirements within the remote sensing team.

The role combines technical expertise with strong client-facing and business development capability: responding to and scoping enquiries, advising on the best data sources and approaches (including DEMs, optical, SAR and hyperspectral where relevant), and producing high-quality, fit-for-purpose outputs that meet licensing and commercial constraints.

As a Remote Sensing Specialist, you will use your technical expertise and innovative spark to derive information from satellite imagery, with a particular focus on emerging needs in the domains of oil and gas and mining.

The successful candidate will stay current with the EO market onboarding new imagery providers, building awareness around new data releases and processing trends and translate this into improved service offerings guiding internal stakeholders and clients.

They will also support business opportunities through client engagement and presentations, helping convert opportunities into well defined, scalable projects aligned with our strategy.

About the Team

You will be part of the Satellite Mapping group based in our Crawley office within the Remote Sensing team.

  • Bespoke remote sensing data processing support

  • Ensuring product quality and commercial satellite licensing compliance

Qualifications

  • Required
  • BSc in remote sensing, GIS or other related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 2 years professional experience in relevant client-focused role
  • Robust understanding of remote sensing fundamentals and practical constraints
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into commercial solutions for client needs
  • Experience identifying new business opportunities and qualifying leads
  • Prior involvement in proposals, solution scoping, pricing inputs, client presentations
  • Experience in processing imagery/outputs and common analysis approaches
  • Preferred
  • Proficient in industry standard satellite image processing packages (Envi, Datum, ESRI, etc.)
  • Commercial imagery procurement
  • Experience in complex imagery processing (hyperspectral, SAR, DEM, programming)
