My client is a leading international mechanical and electrical contractor who work on major projects all over the world. They are currently working on the construction and upgrade of a major papermill project near chester in the UK and are looking for an electrical site engineer for the following.
- Supervise and manage all electrical installations on-site.
- Ensure that construction works are carried out in accordance with design drawings, project specifications, and work schedule.
- Perform regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Conduct inspections to verify compliance with design and engineering standards.
- Identifying material needs in the site in a timely manner, informing the Site Chief, and performing warehouse controls regularly.
- Continuously checking the man-hour values related to the construction works.
- submitting daily progress reports with attachments to the Site Chief.
- informing the Site Chief about material, manpower and site issues in a timely manner to assist taking necessary precautions.
- check defects or incomplete works in the site which are reported by the Client, take preventive or corrective actions against potential issues, report the situation to Site Chief where no solution has been achieved.
- enforce and promote strict adherence to health and safety regulations on the construction site.
Qualifications:
- bachelor\’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- minimum 5 years of experience in industrial projects preferable to have Factory or Industrial Plant Experience.
- strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- experience working on construction sites and familiarity with site safety protocols
