We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager / Showroom Manager to lead our dealership sales operation, drive performance, and achieve sales targets. This role combines sales leadership, pricing strategy, and marketing oversight, with a strong focus on motivating teams and delivering results.
Hours: 40 hours on a rota basis, Monday to Sunday
Salary: Up to £70,000 OTE (Basic + Commissions)
Benefits: Company Car, 25 days Holiday plus Bank Holiday, Birthday Leave etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales (Hands-on)
- Actively sell new and used vehicles to retail customers
- Manage customer enquiries from initial contact through to vehicle handover
- Conduct test drives, negotiations, and deal closures
- Maximise finance, insurance, and add-on product sales
- Deliver a high-quality customer experience and build repeat business
- Sales Management & Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team
- Recruit, onboard, and train new Sales Executives
- Set and monitor sales targets, KPIs, and conversion rates
- Approve pricing, discounts, and deal structures
- Oversee day-to-day store and sales operations
- Handle escalated sales-related customer issues
- Compliance & Standards
- Ensure all sales activities comply with FCA and UK consumer regulations
- Maintain accurate sales documentation and audit standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in a sales management role within a vehicle dealership.
- Strong leadership and team motivation skills
- Sales-focused with sound commercial judgement
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Full UK driving licence (minimum 3 years' driving experience preferred)
- Additional language skills are a plus
