Why this role matters
We are looking for a motivated and commercially curious Junior PPA Originator to join our team and support the growth of our PPA activities in the renewable energy markets. This role is a great opportunity for someone who has some experience or interest in energy markets, commercial negotiation, and client relationship work, and wants to grow into a more senior origination role over time.
What you’ll do
- Support the development of our PPA activity by helping to originate and progress power purchase agreement opportunities in the UK and broader renewable energy markets.
- Help build and maintain positive relationships with clients and counterparties, including corporate buyers, utilities and other energy market participants.
- Assist in the negotiation and structuring of PPA contracts, working closely with senior team members to ensure commercial and contractual terms meet business requirements.
- Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics and policy developments in the power and renewable energy space to inform deal strategy.
- Reporting and analysis responsibilities (if applicable).
- Work collaboratively with internal teams such as trading, commercial, and legal to support smooth transaction execution.
What we’re looking for
You’ll have:
- Some exposure to energy markets, sales, commercial analysis, or a related area.
- Confidence communicating with a range of stakeholders and enjoys building relationships.
- Demonstrates strong commercial interest, analytical thinking, and the ability to understand market dynamics.
- Are comfortable learning negotiation fundamentals and working with structured products like Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
- Shows good teamwork, organizational skills, and willingness to contribute to group objectives.
It’s a bonus if you also have:
- Previous experience in energy trading, structured products, or related commercial roles.
- Basic understanding of electricity markets, renewable energy, and PPAs.
- An analytical mindset with interest in commercial structuring.
