About Us

Brook Green Supply (BGS) is an independent B2B energy supplier dedicated to delivering innovative energy supply and decarbonisation solutions to large and complex industrial and commercial consumers. As part of the CFP Energy Group, BGS plays a pivotal role in supporting the energy transition and helping clients decarbonise their operations through forward-thinking, data-driven energy supply solutions.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive, data-driven, and self-motivated I&C Business Development Manager to accelerate the growth of our industrial direct sales portfolio. This role is central to driving BGS’s new business success and expanding our reach in the large industrial energy consumer market. You will combine cutting-edge prospecting techniques with a deep understanding of the UK’s energy landscape and emerging decarbonisation solutions. You will identify, engage, and convert high-value prospects (25GWh–1TWh+ annual consumption), crafting bespoke energy strategies that optimise value, sustainability, and profitability for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, research, and acquire high-consumption industrial energy clients (25GWh+) across electricity and gas portfolios.
  • Leverage data-driven insights and digital prospecting tools to target key prospects and uncover new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute a robust growth strategy focused on financial performance, customer value, and long-term sustainability outcomes.
  • Lead the full sales cycle, from tender management and pricing strategy to deal structuring and negotiation—ensuring commercial success and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (Trading Desk, Product, and Operations) to design flexible, innovative contract structures and integrated decarbonisation offers.
  • Stay up to date with market trends, policy developments, and technological innovations across the energy space.
  • Present complex energy solutions clearly and persuasively, positioning BGS as a trusted, forward-thinking energy partner.
  • Use CRM systems and analytical tools to track performance, optimise conversion, and provide data-backed recommendations to management.
  • Consistently meet or exceed growth targets through strategic pipeline management and proactive market engagement.

Key Skills & Attributes

  • Proactive and self-driven, with a proven ability to identify and convert high-value opportunities independently.
  • Strong understanding of the UK energy markets and the full spectrum of decarbonisation solutions—including renewable PPAs, energy efficiency, carbon management, and flexibility products.
  • Skilled in data analysis, digital prospecting, and pipeline optimisation, using tools and metrics to guide strategic decisions.
  • Strong commercial acumen with exceptional negotiation and deal-structuring skills, consistently driving high-margin, value-added sales.
  • Confident communicator with excellent presentation, written, and interpersonal skills, able to engage stakeholders from the technical to the board level.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation, problem-solving, and sustainable business growth.
  • Collaborative, yet able to take ownership and lead initiatives that drive tangible business outcomes.

Benefits

  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Hybrid working pattern (Monday to Friday, 35 hours a week - office days to be discussed).
  • Discretionary commission/bonus scheme.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Life, medical, and eyecare insurance.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Cycle to Work scheme.
  • Family-friendly policies.
  • Recruit and Reward scheme.
  • Access to Perkbox, our employee benefits and rewards platform.
