The Candidate: We are seeking a qualified, experienced Joiner / Carpenter with strong technical ability, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive work ethic. This person will represent the company professionally while delivering high-quality workmanship and maintaining strong client relationships that foster repeat business.
The successful candidate will carry out planned and reactive repairs and installations of Fire Doors, Locks and General Joinery within our client's private care sector properties throughout the UK. They will also support colleagues in a multi-skilled capacity and provide technical advice to ensure our clients receive the best service.
Key Responsibilities:- Installation of Fire Doors
- Timber repairs
- Lock fitting
- General Joinery
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication with clients.
- Carry out any other duties required by the business.
- Have proven experience in commercial and/or domestic joinery & carpentry.
- Hold C&G Qualification.
- Ideally hold relevant Fire Door Certifications.
- Possess multi-skilled experience within the building services sector (desirable).
- Be enthusiastic, proactive, and willing to learn.
- Be able to work to tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
- Have excellent communication and time-management skills.
- Demonstrate a flexible "can-do" attitude and strong attention to detail.
- Be capable of working independently and assessing their own performance.
- Be mature, credible, and confident when dealing with clients at all levels.
- Be able to reliably commute to the office and various site locations.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required, with overnight stays required.
- Basic IT skills, including MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and the use of mobile job management systems.
- Be able to adhere to Health & Safety legislation at all times.
- Own your own hand tools.
- DBS check required (or willingness to obtain one).
- Salary Range £38-50k per annum
- Working hours: 4 day week
- Annual leave: 20 days rising to 25 days, plus 8 bank holidays.
