Reporting to: Upholstery Production Manager
As a forward‑thinking company with ambitious plans for the future, we are looking for talented and enthusiastic individuals to join our team, helping us grow and evolve together. Due to our continued growth, we require a Despatch Operative with FLT Counterbalance to join us on a full‑time, permanent basis.
Working Hours: Monday – Thursday 7am – 4.30pm, Friday 7am – 11.00am
Responsibilities:
- Loading/unloading vehicles – you must be physically fit; regularly lift, carry and move furniture items weighing over 25kg, ensuring proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Wrapping items with care.
- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of furniture as needed, requiring physical strength and dexterity.
- Check all items that are going out against paperwork to make sure all items are there and correct.
- Quality check items before loading to ensure they are not damaged.
- Operate the Forklift Truck in accordance with Health & Safety Guidelines.
- Help support production as and when, as the role does not involve FLT 100% of the day.
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2 years consistent FLT Counterbalance experience.
- In‑date FLT Counterbalance licence essential, refreshed within the last 3 years. In‑house licences will not be accepted.
- An understanding of H&S is essential and demonstrate knowledge of safety requirements within a busy warehouse environment.
