We are currently recruiting a Finance Assistant to join our growing team, working flexibly from home and our Cheadle office. This is a part‑time role, 3–4 days a week, to include Fridays. Working as part of a small team, the Finance Assistant’s primary role is to provide day‑to‑day support to the Head of Finance performing administrative and other ad‑hoc duties as required within the Accounts department. Whilst relevant finance and/or accounts experience is desirable, it is not essential, and the role requires someone who is proactive and willing to undertake a variety of tasks. Key responsibilities
- Processing Incoming payments.
- Processing Outgoing Disbursement, Treatment and Damages payments.
- Processing Court of Protection Incoming and Outgoing payments.
- Purchase Ledger Postings and Payments.
- Billing process.
- Dealing with New and Current ATE Insurance Policies.
- Processing travel expense claims in line with the firm’s travel policy.
- Credit card reconciliations.
- Closure of Discontinued and Completed Files.
- Month end processes.
- Petty Cash Reconciliation.
- Banking Process.
- Other General Administration and ad‑hoc duties as required.
Skills
Essential:
- Demonstrates integrity and trust.

- Proficient in using MS office, specifically Excel.

Desirable:
- Legal industry experience preferred.
