Due to a period of growth and innovation, cfes have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join us on a full time and permanent basis. In this pivotal role you will lead and develop the QS and Buyer departments, maintaining consistent commercial standards, and providing directors with clear, accurate commercial reporting across both project and FM activities.

The Commercial Manager is accountable for the commercial performance of all projects and FM operations, ensuring budgets, margins and forecasts are accurate and achieved. They are responsible for contract compliance, managing risks, overseeing procurement to secure best value and maintaining strong supplier relationships. They ensure timely applications, invoicing, cash flow and accurate FM financial reporting, and that subcontractor payments follow contractual terms.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to support profitable project and FM delivery.
  • Lead commercial planning during pre construction, including budgeting, cost plans and contract negotiations.
  • Work closely with Directors to forecast revenue, cash flow and profit across the project and FM portfolio.
  • Advise the leadership team on commercial risks, opportunities and mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee contract drafting, negotiation and administration for clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure all agreements meet legal, regulatory and company standards.
  • Manage contractual issues, variations, claims and dispute resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with frameworks, healthcare sector specifications and employer requirements.
  • Set, manage and report project budgets from tender through to final.
