We are currently working with an elegant 4* Hotel in Penrith, an absolutely stunning Victorian property with a fine dining restaurant rated 2 rosettes and aiming for 3 rosettes.
Role Overview
As a Sous Chef, you’ll support the Head Chef in producing consistent high-quality seasonal fine‑dining dishes and ensuring the kitchen’s health, safety, and hygiene standards are maintained.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Day to day running of the kitchen and covering for the Head Chef.
- Ensuring the highest standard of hygiene and cleanliness to guarantee safe food preparation.
- Providing a safe and secure environment by adhering to the company Health & Safety and Food Safety policies and ensuring all areas are compliant with audit requirements.
- Delivery of exceptional food standards as outlined in the department handbooks.
- Preparing ingredients, cooking meals and plating dishes on hotel menus as required throughout your shift according to customer requirements.
- Assisting the Head Chef in keeping the kitchen, stores and ancillary departments running smoothly during service.
- Level 2 Food Safety Certificate essential with Level 3 preferred.
