As we continue to grow our global cyber proposition, we’re creating a new Underwriter role within Portfolio Partnerships, to drive the next phase of our portfolio and reinsurance strategy. Based in London and reporting to the Portfolio Partnerships, Practice Leader, this individual plays a key part in building, developing and maintaining strong relationships with the reinsurance industry and supporting the ongoing growth of our cyber portfolio.
About the role
You’ll be responsible for existing partners over the long term, working with them to build their cyber portfolio. You will also work on identifying and developing new cyber reinsurance partnerships. Working closely with your team, you’ll help shape and deliver CFC’s cyber reinsurance strategy, supporting reinsurance partners with underwriting insight, training, distribution and growth opportunities. The role also involves contributing to partner‑facing marketing and positioning, acting as a consistent point of contact for key strategic relationships, and representing CFC across the market. Given the nature of the role, regular international travel is expected.
About you
You’ll bring strong insurance or reinsurance experience, ideally with a cyber focus. You’re confident working with senior decision‑makers, comfortable influencing across internal and external stakeholders, and enjoy building long‑term partnerships. You’ll likely have:
- Proven B2B business development experience within insurance, reinsurance or a related market
- Demonstrable experience in cyber and/or reinsurance
- A strong commercial track record and strategic mindset
- Excellent communication, organisation and relationship‑management skills
- CII qualifications are desirable but not essential.
