We are expanding our Cyber Threat Analysis capability to stay ahead of emerging threats - and we are looking for a Threat Researcher who is ready to tackle complex challenges at scale.

In this role, you will work across the business to connect real‐world cyber risks with claims data, uncover patterns, and design strategies that reduce exposure for our insureds. You will investigate emerging vulnerabilities, analyse how attacks unfold, and develop technical solutions that identify security weaknesses across customer environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Tackling cutting‐edge cybersecurity challenges that impact tens of thousands of organisations.
  • Analysing cyber claims datasets to identify emerging threats and trends.
  • Developing proof‐of‐concept vulnerability scans and detection techniques.
  • Creating scalable, repeatable processes to operationalise CTA initiatives.
  • Using external threat intelligence sources to identify immediate risks to customers.
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including underwriters.
  • Providing expert guidance to customers to help them understand and mitigate risks.
  • Sharing research, insights, and threat intelligence across the organisation.
  • Ensuring the CTA team remains at the forefront of proactive cyber risk reduction.

About you

You are someone who thrives at the intersection of technical depth, creative thinking, and client engagement. You understand how attackers operate, you enjoy digging into data to uncover patterns, and you are motivated by helping organisations strengthen their defences.

You will excel in this role if you have:

  • A strong technical understanding of cybersecurity principles, vulnerabilities, and attack methods.
  • Experience in incident handling, technical consulting, or another client‐facing security role.
  • The creativity to develop novel approaches to vulnerability detection and risk reduction.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical findings for non‐technical audiences.
  • A passion for staying ahead of emerging threats and contributing to industry‐leading innovation.
