We're looking for an experienced Finance Systems Business Analyst to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of Finance technology, data and processes across the business. You'll help define the Finance Systems Blueprint, improve the way critical systems and data operate, and drive initiatives that increase automation, strengthen controls and enable smarter decision-making. Working closely with Finance, Technology and Data teams, you'll have the opportunity to influence how Finance evolves and scales for the future.

Key responsibilities

  • Assessing and documenting the current Finance systems landscape, including processes, data flows, integrations and reporting dependencies.
  • Gathering and defining business requirements, user stories, process maps and solution options.
  • Supporting the development of the Finance Systems Blueprint and future-state operating model.
  • Identifying opportunities to simplify processes, automate manual activity and reduce spreadsheet dependency.
  • Partnering with Finance, Technology, Data, HR, Procurement and third-party vendors to deliver system and process improvements.
  • Supporting key initiatives including:
    • NetSuite optimisation
    • Procure-to-Pay enhancements
    • Concur and travel & expense improvements
    • Databricks and Finance reporting transformation
    • Automation and analytics initiatives
    • Integration controls and governance improvements
  • Supporting testing, implementation, user adoption and benefits tracking for agreed changes.

About you

You'll be an experienced Business Analyst with a strong understanding of Finance systems, data and process transformation. You'll be comfortable operating across both strategic planning and hands-on delivery and able to confidently engage stakeholders at all levels. We're looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience delivering Finance systems, process improvement or data transformation initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of Finance processes, controls, reporting, integrations and data flows.
  • Experience gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, process mapping and producing high-quality documentation.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, testing and change adoption.
  • Exposure to platforms such as NetSuite, Concur, Databricks, ThoughtSpot or similar Finance and data technologies.
  • A pragmatic, analytical and delivery-focused approach.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience within financial services, insurance or another regulated environment would be advantageous.
