This new IBA Operations Technician role will provide an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced finance environment. As an IBA Operations Technician, you will support the IBA Operations Team in delivering accurate and timely financial processing, including claims money management, reconciliations, and reporting. You will work closely with senior team members to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with internal procedures.
About the role
The IBA Operations Technician will be responsible for assisting with the administration of loss and non-loss fund monies, including setting up online payments and performing associated tasks such as cash posting and allocation. Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Support daily claims reconciliations between carrier and internal systems.
- Help maintain accurate records of bank transactions and assist in regular reconciliations.
- Assist in processing third-party commissions and resolving basic anomalies.
- Support premium reconciliation activities, ensuring consistency between underwriting and accounting systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation and assist in updating training materials.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
About you
To be considered for this IBA Operations Technician you must have experience or exposure to IBA accounting or financial operations within the insurance industry is desirable. You will also have experience with:
- Familiarity with basic reconciliation processes and financial documentation.
- Understanding of claims money management and bank account operations is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and numeracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
