Description

This role offers a rare but fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced Finance function supporting the business during a continued period of PE backed growth. This is a newly created role and will see you act as the key Finance contact for assigned stakeholders, helping them manage the entire profit and loss (P&L) for their area of business. This will include analysing monthly and quarterly actuals, as well as budgeting and forecasting and ad hoc project work.

About the role

You will engage with MI owners to create or obtain the necessary information to guide and challenge business teams, ensuring alignment of their decision making with the Group’s financial objectives, long-term value maximisation and strategic priorities.

Amongst other things, you\’ll:

  • Provide functional Finance leadership and commercial insight across business areas.
  • Provide financial and commercial support and analysis to SLT members and their leadership Team.
  • Present and report the business’ financial performance in a clear and understandable format to ExCo / SLT member(s).
  • Understand risks and opportunities and ensure that variances to budget are understood, communicated and reduced – challenging and supporting the business in equal measure.
  • Lead yearly budgeting process with aligned business units.
  • Assist with forecasting to reflect the strategy, risks and opportunities of the business. Co-ordinate, engage and project-manage stakeholders to ensure delivery of inputs to agreed timescales.
  • Obtain, interpret and utilise effectively, financial and operational reports from a variety of sources.
  • Ad hoc project work, financial modelling and tracking of strategic initiatives.
