We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially aware Finance Business Analyst to support the continued maturation of the Finance function. This role plays a key part in transforming our Finance processes, improving end-to-end efficiency, strengthening data flows, and aligning systems with best practice operating models. You will work across Finance, FP&A, MI, IBA, Tax and Systems teams to map processes, assess performance, design improvements, and ensure our operating landscape is scalable and well controlled. The role requires strong problem‑solving skills, an evidence‑based mindset, and the ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations.
About the role
- End-to-end Process Mapping & Redesign: Produce and maintain detailed process maps across core Finance activities (close, reporting, IBA, MI, planning, tax hand‑offs). Identify inefficiencies, fragmentation and manual effort; design streamlined, standardised workflows that improve control and efficiency.
- Systems & Process Integration: Act as the interface between Finance process owners and system teams (NetSuite, Concur, AutoRek, banking integration platforms). Ensure system configurations reflect agreed upon process standards and support scalable, controlled ways of working.
- Operating Model Enablement: Support the design and documentation of the global Finance Operating Model, including service catalogues, RACI structures, hand‑offs and key operating principles. Maintain architectural documentation that reflects the evolving Finance landscape.
- Data, MI & KPI Alignment: Partner with FP&A and MI teams to ensure KPI definitions, data flows, hierarchies and MI structures align with redesigned processes. Identify disconnects between process, data and reporting, and recommend improvements that strengthen accuracy and insight.
- Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate workshops, gather requirements and translate business needs into clear, structured documentation. Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment across Finance, Systems, Operations and Change functions. Support prioritisation and decision making by providing evidence based insight and options analysis.
About you
- Skills & Behaviours: Strong analytical thinker who uses evidence and pattern spotting to form balanced recommendations. Excellent communicator, able to present complex information in a clear and accessible way for both technical and non‑technical colleagues. Skilled at requirements gathering, process mapping, data visualisation and stakeholder management. Adaptable and commercially aware, capable of operating in a dynamic, evolving environment.
- Experience & Credentials: CIMA/ACCA or equivalent, newly or part qualified. Proven experience improving business processes through mapping, analysis and optimisation. Experience working with Finance systems (e.g., ERP, MI platforms, banking integrations) is desirable but not essential.
Core Values: We show up each day ready to take on the world. Our passion and intensity set us apart and makes the difference to our colleagues, customers, brokers and carriers. We’re never afraid to question the way that things are done and we constantly challenge ourselves and others to make things better. Insurance is a serious business, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We make it fun to work at CFC, we welcome all viewpoints, and we treat everyone how we would expect to be treated.
