CFC is seeking an End User Technology Operations Engineer who keeps endpoints secure, current, and reliable. You will lead vulnerability-driven remediation and patch currency for end-user devices using Microsoft Intune & Apple Business Manager where applicable, with Tenable reporting to prioritise and evidence progress. You will operate within CFC’s documented processes, and partner with security, infrastructure, and the service desk to reduce risk without unnecessary user disruption.
About the role:
- Own and scale how we manage, secure, and update modern endpoints across Windows and macOS in a fast-moving, cloud-first environment.
- You’ll play a key role in keeping our estate secure, up to date, and running smoothly — combining hands-on Intune expertise with a focus on automation, patching, and continuous improvement.
- Own Intune policies for updates, compliance, and device management (Windows & macOS).
- Drive automated patching through Autopatch/Hotpatch, improving speed and reliability.
- Build and deploy applications using modern packaging (Win32, Winget).
- Lead vulnerability remediation using Tenable insights and data-driven prioritisation.
- Manage software lifecycle end-to-end, from rollout to retirement.
- Proactively monitor performance, support releases, and maintain production stability.
- Improve tooling, documentation, and self-service capabilities across the function.
About you:
- You’re a hands-on endpoint engineer with a passion for automation, stability, and modern device management.
- You think beyond day-to-day operations — focusing on scalable solutions, security, and continuously improving how endpoints are managed across the business.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Intune and modern device management.
- Confident managing Windows updates, Autopatch, and provisioning (Autopilot).
- Proven experience packaging and deploying applications at scale.
- Comfortable with macOS management via Intune and Apple Business Manager.
- Experience using Tenable or similar tools to drive vulnerability remediation.
- Solid understanding of patching strategy, lifecycle management, and endpoint security.
- Working knowledge of PowerShell for automation and scripting.
- Clear communicator, able to document processes and improve ways of working.
Nice to have: Defender, RBAC, analytics tools (KQL/Power BI), or relevant certifications.
