We’re looking for an experienced Audio Visual Engineer to join our Desktop Operations team within Technology Operations. This team is the engine room of the business, delivering the systems and support that give CFC its competitive edge. In this role, you’ll lead all aspects of audio‑visual support across the organisation, partnering closely with senior stakeholders and providing white‑glove service for major company events. You’ll support around 700 UK‑based employees and act as a point of contact for AV updates and engineering across the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia. This is a hands‑on, customer‑focused role where you’ll take ownership of AV operations, proactively monitor performance, and ensure our meeting room and event technology runs seamlessly every day.
Key responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of AV support across the business.
- Manage booking systems and platform assets.
- Camera and microphone configurations.
- Oversee the smooth daily running of all AV systems in the office.
- Provide white‑glove support for senior leaders and major company meetings.
- Support out‑of‑hours events when required.
- Produce AV performance metrics, health reports, and customer satisfaction insights.
- Identify recurring issues and implement processes for trend analysis and root‑cause resolution.
- Maintain and update service processes, documentation, and procedures.
- Monitor and report on compliance with IT controls, policies, and standards.
- Work with AV third‑party partners, scheduling maintenance, audits, and break‑fix activities.
- Deliver AV and meeting room training, including face‑to‑face sessions, guides, and videos.
- Share knowledge with the wider IT operations function.
- Build strong service relationships across the business, ensuring a proactive and customer‑centric approach.
- Contribute ideas to the AV strategy, helping keep CFC at the cutting edge of technology.
About you
- Strong experience in an audio‑visual engineering role.
- Experience with AV control systems such as Crestron.
- Solid understanding of service desk processes and procedures.
- Strong stakeholder relationship experience, including senior‑level engagement.
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach in high‑visibility situations.
