We’re looking for a Risk Analyst to join our Group Risk team, partnering closely with the Head of ERM and working across the business to strengthen how we manage risk in a practical, commercial way. The role offers real variety and visibility. You’ll take ownership of our GRC platform, play a central role in how we track and manage risk events and controls, and work directly with stakeholders across the group. We use Decision Focus, so if you’ve worked with it before you’ll be able to get up to speed quickly and really shape how it’s used across the business. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys getting into the detail but also wants to influence how risk is understood and applied day to day. You’ll be joining a collaborative team with a strong focus on continuous improvement, where your input will genuinely shape how we evolve our risk framework and approach.

About the role

  • Taking ownership of our GRC tool (currently Decision Focus), including configuration, access and ongoing optimisation
  • Ensuring risk data is accurate, up to date and useful, and turning that into clear, practical reporting
  • Supporting the capture, tracking and oversight of risk events, including escalation and remediation
  • Managing action tracking to drive accountability and follow-through
  • Working closely with first and second line teams to maintain strong oversight of risks and controls
  • Supporting the delivery of the Risk Plan and contributing to ongoing improvements in how we operate
  • Partnering with stakeholders to ensure controls are well designed and working effectively in practice
  • Supporting risk reporting cycles and the development of insight-led outputs
  • Helping manage the Group’s policy framework, including renewals and annual attestations
  • Supporting the development of risk appetite reporting, including KRIs and tolerance metrics
  • Delivering training and guidance to help build a consistent and embedded risk culture

About you

  • Experience in a risk, compliance or governance role, ideally in insurance or financial services
  • Experience working with a GRC platform (Decision Focus would be a distinct advantage, but not essential)
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage and interpret data with confidence
  • Comfortable working with a range of stakeholders and building credible relationships
  • A solid understanding of risk management principles and control environments
  • Well organised, able to balance multiple priorities and keep things moving
  • Clear and confident communicator, able to explain risk in a practical, accessible way
  • A proactive, hands‑on approach with a focus on improving how things are done
