Thanks to continued significant organic growth, we have an exciting opportunity to join an established Professional Liability team in London, focusing on underwriting Professional Liability driven business in Canada. We are a market leader in providing solutions to both small and large enterprises in Canada with 5 products: Architects and Engineers, Miscellaneous Professionals, Recruitment, Oil and Gas, and Contractors E&O. The team works on package policy solutions, offering multiple coverages under one policy, including Casualty and our market-leading Cyber coverage, providing unique experience and exposure. We pride ourselves on thought leadership, adaptability to new industry classes, and exceptional service, all while maintaining a positive work environment. About the role
- As an underwriter, you will handle key aspects of the underwriting process, including new business and renewal underwriting, responding to broker queries, managing portfolios, and developing broker relationships.
- Training and support will be provided by other team members to help you understand our products, appetite, and broker base from day one.
- Underwrite new business and renewals.
- Respond to broker inquiries promptly and professionally, producing quotations within SLAs.
- Proactively seek new business opportunities and build strong broker relationships (face-to-face and over the phone).
- Contribute to team and group initiatives.
- Deliver presentations on CFC products, trends, and exposures.
About you

- The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of underwriting or broking experience in professional liability (E&O), preferably with multi-class underwriting exposure.
- Experience with North American business is advantageous but not essential.

- A strong work ethic, excellent communication, and collaboration skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently when needed.
