Looking to build a career at the forefront of one of the fastest-growing areas of insurance? CFC's award-winning cyber underwriting team is a 100+ strong, market leading team dedicated to developing and distributing a best-of-breed cyber offering. With more than two decades' experience building cyber insurance solutions and handling cyber claims, our cyber team is one of the most established and experienced providers in the market. We're seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Assistant Underwriter to join our growing international team. This is an opportunity to work alongside market-leading cyber underwriting specialists, supporting businesses as they navigate an increasingly complex digital world.
As a Cyber Assistant Underwriter, you'll work closely with the Underwriters and Team Leader on our International portfolio with a focus on Canada and Australia. You'll take responsibility for aspects of underwriting for small new and renewal accounts as well as working to develop your own long-term broker relationships.
- Underwrite small new and renewal accounts;
- Deal with enquiries from all brokers, with focused broker development on key partners;
- Put up quotes in an efficient manner in line with service standards;
- Develop technical knowledge in the cyber market and from an underwriting perspective, including exposure/control analysis of accounts;
- Attend relevant meetings and conferences, both internal and external.
We are looking for driven, self-starters with a strong work ethic who can contribute to a fast-paced working environment and work within a high performance team. The successful candidate will possess a sales- and service-oriented approach, demonstrate confidence and professionalism both on the phone and in meetings with brokers, and show a clear drive and capability to support the growth of the team. The ideal applicant will have proven experience within the insurance industry in either Underwriting or Broking, preferably with exposure to E&O or Financial lines. You don't need to be a cyber expert already, but you should have a genuine interest in technology, risk and the evolving cyber landscape and a willingness to develop your technical underwriting and business development skills. You will be expected to work at a high pace and intensity that underpins the successful framework of the CFC business and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
