Investment Business Panel Member

Following 30 years of the Investment Management Certificate, CFA UK is continually innovating our qualification portfolio to meet the evolving needs of investment professionals in the UK. CFA UK is seeking practitioner subject matter experts to support qualification innovation and development. 

The Panel will support the staffed office in setting the operational framework for this new examination. The Panel will be responsible for all aspects of the provision, including the examination, syllabus and the Official Training Manual (OTM).

In between meetings, Panel members will be asked to review the syllabus, learning materials, new questions and new exam forms remotely.

The Panel will report to the Examinations and Education Committee, via the Panel Chair.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking investment professionals working within product development/solutions, client solutions, marketing, risk or compliance with subject matter expertise and experience in the following areas:

• How different types of investment firms work and the needs and preferences of different client segments
• The economics of an investment business – including value and supply chains, core functions and pricing strategies
• Commercial proposition of an investment business (ie addressable market, product specific considerations and opportunities and constraints)
• Client strategy and solutions for differing client segments
• Financial Performance and profit and loss
• Sector trends and opportunities and risks

Applicants should have:

Availability for around 12 meetings in the first year reducing to around 8 in subsequent years

Ability to work with a group to shape ideas.
