CFA Institute is launching a global initiative to connect and enable its 158 member societies to deliver financial literacy more effectively in their communities. More than 75 societies are already doing this work—running school programs, producing podcasts, and partnering with nonprofits and educational organizations. This initiative is designed to make that work more visible, more reusable, and more impactful across the network, without displacing society ownership or imposing a centralized curriculum.
We are seeking a dedicated Program Manager to lead this initiative from initial design and build through implementation and ongoing operation. This is a senior individual contributor role requiring strong program management, the ability to build trust and momentum across a global volunteer network, and the judgment to translate strategic intent into practical, scalable execution.
Key Responsibilities- Program Build & Launch
- Lead day-to-day execution of the financial literacy initiative, from concept through launch.
- Translate strategic direction into a structured, phased project plan with clear milestones and deliverables.
- Coordinate development of a centralized resource hub (content, tools, frameworks, and best practices).
- Partner with internal technology teams and, where needed, external vendors to design and deliver the underlying platform, content infrastructure, and user experience; assess existing CFAI digital properties (including Connexions) as potential platform options before committing to new build.
- Establish initial governance, processes, and success metrics.
- Stakeholder & Network Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of coordination across CFA Institute and participating societies.
- Engage and support a global working group of society leaders and subject matter experts.
- Facilitate regular working group meetings (e.g., monthly), including agenda setting, materials, and follow-ups.
- Identify, document, and elevate existing society-led financial literacy efforts and assets.
- Navigate varying levels of readiness, capability, and priorities across markets.
- Content & Resource Curation
- Oversee identification, review, and organization of financial literacy content and tools.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure quality, relevance, and consistency.
- Support development of scalable frameworks that societies can adopt or adapt locally.
- Ensure alignment with CFA Institute standards and positioning.
- Implementation & Scaling
- Support the Working Group in defining the evidence criteria that would trigger movement into a more structured phase of the initiative.
- Capture learnings and refine tools, processes, and content accordingly.
- Develop playbooks and guidance to enable broader network adoption.
- Partner with Marketing and Communications teams to support brand awareness, positioning, and promotion of the initiative and its resources across global and local channels.
- Partner with regional and society leaders to drive engagement and uptake.
- Ongoing Program Management
- Transition the initiative from build phase to steady-state operations.
- Maintain and evolve the resource hub and supporting infrastructure.
- Monitor performance metrics and impact indicators.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and expansion.
- Manage initiative budget, including micro-grant administration and vendor or contractor relationships.
