The Senior Product Manager, Back Office leads the strategy, development, and execution of initiatives that enhance CFA Institute’s internal operations, financial systems, and enterprise capabilities. Partnering across business, finance, technology, and operations, you will define product vision, champion modern ways of working, and deliver scalable solutions that strengthen the organization’s core infrastructure and enable strategic priorities. This role owns the full lifecycle of enterprise product initiatives—from ideation through launch and transition to business-as-usual—ensuring measurable business value and operational impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Enterprise Product Strategy: Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for enterprise initiatives impacting financial systems, operational processes, and organizational capabilities. Partner with business, finance, technology, and operations leaders to identify opportunities, prioritize investments, and align product outcomes with CFA Institute’s strategic objectives.
  • Own End-to-End Product Delivery: Lead initiatives from concept through implementation and transition to business-as-usual operations. Develop business cases, gather and prioritize requirements, evaluate technology solutions, establish success metrics, and oversee delivery to ensure solutions meet business, operational, and financial needs.
  • Bridge Business, Finance, and Technology: Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by translating complex business, accounting, operational, and technical requirements into actionable product strategies. Facilitate alignment across diverse stakeholder groups and ensure decisions balance organizational, financial, and technology considerations.
  • Drive Innovation and Transformation: Identify opportunities to modernize systems, processes, and ways of working through emerging technologies, automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and organizational redesign. Evaluate new solutions and recommend enhancements that improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience.
  • Ensure Operational Excellence: Establish governance, performance metrics, and risk management practices that support sustainable product operations. Oversee system reliability, process documentation, and change management activities to ensure successful adoption and long‑term value realization.
  • Lead Cross‑Functional Execution: Direct cross‑functional teams through complex enterprise initiatives, coordinating efforts across Product, Finance, Technology, Compliance, Legal, and Operations. Drive stakeholder engagement, resolve obstacles, and ensure successful delivery of strategic outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise or back‑office product initiatives in complex, cross‑functional environments.
  • Strong partnership with COO/operations and finance teams to drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience modernizing systems, processes, or organizational architecture (AI exposure a plus).
  • Proven ability to manage full product lifecycles in a finance‑related or enterprise systems domain.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and product portfolio management.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging across technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira (Service & Software) and workflow automation platforms (e.g., LogicGate) preferred.
  • Experience working with Compliance or Legal stakeholders is a plus.
  • Awareness of the professional education or membership‑based industry is desirable.

All salary ranges are subject to adjustment based on experience, education, and other factors relevant to the position.
