As the Senior Head, AI Enablement and Digital Delivery, you will unify two strategic capabilities—enterprise-grade digital delivery and AI enablement—into one integrated function that accelerates innovation, improves learner and member experiences, and drives measurable business value at scale.

In this highly visible executive role reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will lead a global, multi-disciplinary organization spanning product, engineering, data, cybersecurity, operations, and business partners. You’ll set the vision for how we design, build, and deliver digital and AI-enabled solutions, while championing responsible and ethical AI practices across the enterprise.

Set and lead the AI‑enabled digital delivery vision

Define the integrated digital and AI delivery vision that advances CFA Institute’s 2030 Strategy and strengthens its market leadership in education and credentialing.

Influence senior executives and portfolio leaders to prioritize high‑impact digital and AI‑driven initiatives that align with enterprise goals and deliver measurable value.

Champion an innovation‑focused, human‑centered, and ethically grounded culture in all aspects of digital and AI adoption.

Drive digital delivery excellence at scale

Lead the execution of the global digital delivery portfolio, ensuring outcomes meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.

Establish and mature delivery frameworks, governance, methodologies, and performance metrics that ensure predictable, transparent, and high‑quality delivery.

Drive engineering and delivery modernization through DevOps, CI / CD optimization, automation, cloud delivery best practices, and scalable architectural patterns.

Oversee multimillion‑dollar delivery budgets, resource allocation, and vendor management across global digital operations.

Partner closely with Product, Application Development, and Enterprise Architecture to ensure delivery aligns with strategy, design standards, and long‑term maintainability.

Lead and scale AI enablement across the enterprise

Define, evolve, and govern the enterprise AI enablement roadmap, including generative AI, intelligent agents, machine learning, analytics, and automation.

Identify and prioritize high‑value AI use cases across key portfolios (Education, Membership, Finance, RAS, MCX), ensuring alignment with business needs and measurable outcomes.

Lead enterprise‑wide adoption of AI tools and platforms (e.g., OpenAI Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, Snowflake, AWS AI services).

Build and scale internal AI agents, co‑pilots, and automation frameworks to increase workforce efficiency, decision quality, and customer experience.

Ensure responsible, secure, and compliant AI and digital delivery

Establish and oversee delivery governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks across digital and AI initiatives.

Lead responsible and ethical AI practices including model lifecycle governance, bias mitigation, data controls, and alignment to standards such as NIST AI RMF and ISO 42001.

Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management, Legal, Cybersecurity, and IT Operations to ensure secure, compliant delivery and AI deployment.

Chair or co‑lead the internal AI Governance Council, regularly briefing the CIO and executive leadership on progress, value, and risk posture.

Translate strategy into measurable business outcomes

Define enterprise‑level KPIs, dashboards, and performance frameworks to track AI maturity, delivery health, adoption, and value realization.

Translate digital delivery and AI strategies into tangible outcomes: productivity gains, improved learner / member experience, cost efficiencies, and faster time‑to‑delivery.

Partner with portfolio and operations leaders to embed AI‑driven workflows across product delivery, finance, marketing, and service operations.

Build and develop a high‑performing global team

Lead and grow a global, multi‑disciplinary team including delivery managers, scrum leaders, project managers, AI engineers, automation specialists, knowledge engineers, and AI adoption leads.

Serve as an executive liaison and catalyst for cross‑functional collaboration, ensuring alignment, knowledge sharing, and operational cohesion.

Represent CFA Institute externally as a thought leader in ethical AI and digital transformation in the education and credentialing ecosystem.

What You’ll Bring

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

12‑15+ years of experience in digital delivery, technology strategy, or product / AI leadership, including 7+ years in senior, enterprise‑scale leadership roles.

Demonstrated success leading large‑scale digital transformation and AI / ML enablement programs in complex, matrixed environments.

  • AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation, intelligent agents)
  • Cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Modern delivery practices (Agile / SAFe, DevOps, CI / CD)

Strong financial leadership experience managing significant budgets (e.g., $10M+) and multi‑vendor ecosystems.

Proven ability to translate strategy into execution with clear, measurable business impact.

Executive‑level communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and challenge across technical and non‑technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree (e.g., MS in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or MBA) or equivalent experience.

Experience in education technology, professional credentialing, or highly regulated industries.

Track record of building and scaling AI centers of excellence, AI governance councils, or enterprise‑level AI enablement programs.

Experience leading globally distributed teams and cultivating inclusive, high‑performance cultures.

Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks related to AI, risk management, and digital delivery.

Compensation & Benefits Transparency

At CFA Institute, we are committed to transparency and equity in our hiring process. In compliance with wage transparency laws in many of the jurisdictions in which we recruit, we provide the following information regarding compensation for this position :

Expected salary range : $245,000 – $275,000

Other benefits include eligibility for annual incentives, 12% retirement employer contribution, and competitive medical benefits.
