About the Role
We are seeking a Product Marketing Director, Global / International Equity Lead to provide senior-level marketing leadership for our Global / International Equity capabilities.
This role is responsible for shaping product marketing strategy, positioning, messaging, and go-to-market direction in alignment with broader enterprise content and marketing priorities.
As a key subject matter expert, you will bring strategic perspective and investment expertise to help teams across Product Marketing, Content & Insights, Investments, Global Product, Segment Marketing, and Distribution align around priorities, client needs, and commercial opportunities.
You will play a central role in ensuring our Global / International Equity story is differentiated, compelling, and consistently brought to market across audiences and channels.
This is a senior individual contributor role.
While highly visible and influential, it does not include direct people management responsibility.
Success in this role will come through subject matter expertise, strategic leadership, and the ability to influence and align stakeholders across a matrixed organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Asset Class / Vehicle Leadership
- Lead product marketing direction and prioritization for Global / International Equity in alignment with business unit goals and enterprise marketing priorities.
- Apply enterprise and content marketing strategies within the context of Global / International Equity to ensure relevance, consistency, and commercial impact.
- Serve as a key coordination lead for asset class-related marketing opportunities, campaigns, and content requests, as needed.
- Partner with content strategy, content creation, content enablement, segment marketing, and client-facing teams to align priorities with messaging, business objectives, and market opportunities.
- Recommend priority initiatives, sequencing, and resource allocation in partnership with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Product Marketing Content & Positioning
- Develop differentiated value propositions, messaging frameworks, and positioning strategies for Global / International Equity capabilities and products.
- Translate complex market dynamics, client requirements, competitive intelligence, and industry trends into clear strategic product focus areas.
- Identify and articulate competitive differentiators tailored to client segments, distribution channels, and regional markets.
- Ensure consistency of messaging across campaigns, sales enablement materials, thought leadership, and client communications.
- Advise on product focus priorities and strategic opportunities in partnership with Product Management and business leadership.
- Client & Market Insight Leadership
- Maintain a deep understanding of client needs, investment trends, and market developments impacting Global / International Equity.
- Use client insight, competitive analysis, and market intelligence to inform marketing priorities and positioning recommendations.
- Partner with business leaders and investment professionals to identify emerging client themes and opportunities for strategic engagement.
- Integrate audience insights into content strategy, content development, and client experience design.
- Integrated Campaign & Content Leadership
- Lead integrated product marketing and communications planning across the client journey for the assigned asset class.
- Drive alignment between asset class priorities and execution teams to ensure coordinated content delivery.
- Collaborate with Investments, Global Product, content strategy, content creators, and content enablement teams to prioritize and, when needed, create timely market insights, investment perspectives, and asset class content initiatives.
- Provide strategic direction for custom content and collateral tailored to priority audiences and market segments.
- Ensure campaigns and communications reflect business priorities, strategic messaging, and client-centric outcomes.
- Cross-Functional Partnership & Influence
- Build strong partnerships with Investment Heads, Portfolio Managers, Product Specialists, Product Managers, Distribution leaders, and Marketing stakeholders.
- Influence senior stakeholders across business units to align on priorities, positioning, and go-to-market execution.
- Provide strategic recommendations to leadership on product development, commercialization, and market positioning.
- Business Management & Performance Accountability
- Take an ownership mindset for asset class business outcomes and marketing effectiveness.
- Partner with marketing intelligence, segment marketing, and content strategists to establish performance goals and success metrics for priority initiatives and campaigns.
- Report back to stakeholders on campaign and initiative performance.
- Monitor market response, campaign effectiveness, and business performance to refine strategies and optimize results.
- Incorporate feedback, evolving market conditions, and business priorities into planning and execution.
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in product marketing, investment marketing, asset management, product strategy, investment communications, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of investment products, asset classes, capital markets, and institutional/intermediary client segments.
- Demonstrated success developing positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies for complex investment capabilities.
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Proven ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable marketing recommendations.
- Experience leading integrated campaigns in matrixed organizations.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business strategy, competitive dynamics, and client engagement.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree and/or CFA designation.
- Experience working directly with investment professionals, portfolio managers, or product management teams.
- Experience leading enterprise or global marketing initiatives across multiple regions and client segments.
