The Strategic Advisory Group is one of the most experienced investment banking teams in the industry, and has been involved in some of the largest, most complex transactions of the past twenty years. Our global team focuses on a diverse set of industries, including technology media telecommunications, energy, power & utilities, industrials, healthcare, real estate gaming and leisure, and consumer retail. The Strategic Capital Markets Advisory team is an extremely active and fast-growing group within PJT.
As a Vice President in the Strategic Capital Markets Advisory team, you will sit within the Strategic Advisory Group but will also work frequently with the Restructuring and Special Situations Group who advise companies, financial sponsors and creditor groups in financially distressed situations.
Responsibilities and expectations include:
- Working directly with financial sponsor and corporate clients across all industries in evaluating, structuring, recommending and executing financing alternatives across the capital structure;
- Advising clients on a broad range of transactions including (i) syndicated acquisition financings and refinancings, (ii) private credit lending, (iii) par and stressed refinancings, (iv) liability management, including Exit Financings, A&E and Exchange Offers, (v) growth and venture capital, and (vi) structured / hybrid and infrastructure financings;
- Collaborating directly with clients and working closely with senior members of the Strategic Advisory team;
- Evaluating, structuring, and recommending financial and strategic alternatives, including the analysis of mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic combinations, asset sales, and divestures;
- Leading the day-to-day execution of transactions, including due diligence, financial analysis, and negotiation with lenders on key financing documents;
- Working with senior management and coordinate associate / analyst materials;
- Designing and developing financing models to assess the impact of various financing structures on companies and shareholders;
- Participating in both internal and external client meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a top ranked university
- Minimum 5 years of experience in leveraged finance, debt capital markets advisory, restructuring or direct lending at an investment bank or credit fund
- ACA or CFA qualification preferred but not mandatory
- Resume must include graduation month/year and GPA, if applicable
