We are seeking a senior Product Lead to own the strategy, governance, and commercialisation of Apex's Money Market Fund (MMF) product offering. The role requires deep expertise in MMF regulation, transfer agency operations, and fund administration, and will serve as Apex's primary subject matter authority on MMF products. The successful candidate will work across Operations, Compliance, Sales, and Client Services to ensure Apex's MMF proposition is market‑leading and commercially compelling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy & Governance: Define and own the MMF product roadmap, covering fund structures (VNAV, CNAV, LVNAV), share classes, and distribution models. Lead product governance including product approval, lifecycle management, and ongoing regulatory compliance across ESMA, SEC, FCA, and CBI frameworks. Monitor MMF regulatory developments and translate requirements into product and operational change programmes.
  • Transfer Agency & Fund Operations: Define the Target Operating Model for TA services supporting MMFs, covering subscription/redemption processing, same‑day settlement, yield distribution, and investor reporting. Partner with Fund Administration teams to ensure NAV calculation, fund accounting, and reporting meet MMF‑specific standards. Drive continuous service improvement to enhance operational resilience and SLA performance across MMF mandates.
  • Commercialisation & Business Development: Provide MMF product expertise during client pitches, RFP responses, and due diligence processes. Identify cross‑selling opportunities across Apex's integrated fund services suite including depositary, regulatory reporting, and ESG services. Contribute to competitive pricing strategy, commercial modelling, and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Market Analysis & Client Management: Maintain deep knowledge of global MMF market dynamics, regulatory trends, ESG/sustainable MMF developments, and competitor positioning. Act as primary client escalation point for MMF product and operational matters; lead onboarding and implementation for new mandates. Produce market insight and thought leadership materials for internal and external audiences; represent Apex at industry forums.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline; CFA, CAIA, ACCA or equivalent qualification advantageous.
  • Minimum 8-10 years in asset management or fund services, with significant and demonstrable exposure to Money Market Funds.
  • Proven experience in a product management, product strategy, or product governance role within fund administration, transfer agency, or asset management.
  • Deep knowledge of MMF structures (VNAV, CNAV, LVNAV) and applicable regulatory frameworks including ESMA MMF Regulation, SEC Rule 2a-7, and IMMFA standards.
  • Strong understanding of Transfer Agency operations: AML/KYC onboarding, subscription/redemption workflows, shareholder reporting, and NAV‑related processes.
  • Proven ability to define and implement Target Operating Models in a fund services environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and commercial skills; ability to engage credibly at senior levels with clients and internal leadership.
  • Self‑starter with a collaborative mindset and the ability to drive change across complex, multi‑jurisdictional organisations.
