What You'll Do

  • Lead cross‑functional groups from the design, product, and engineering teams to define the user experience, using business requirements, customer research, and feedback to develop scenarios, use cases, and high‑level requirements.
  • Work with the Director, User Experience & Design to develop reusable patterns and approaches that maintain consistency across teams.
  • Ensure that the tools and processes leveraged by the team are appropriate and mentor team members on their use and best practices.
  • Seek opportunities to evolve and iterate the enterprise presence, strategically approaching solutions for the team to leverage.
  • Design conceptual sketches, wireframes, information architecture, high‑fidelity mockups, and interaction specifications.
  • Build and nurture relationships across teams and disciplines to promote collaboration, efficiency, and adoption of solutions.
  • Develop and maintain detailed design patterns that scale for the team and influence other designers.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions and present to partners and stakeholders to drive design, demonstrating features and flows.
  • Drive a data‑informed approach to continuous improvement, creating data‑collection methods to guide the team.
  • Oversee special projects and initiatives, identifying new opportunities for value creation.

What We're Looking For

  • B.S. degree or equivalent experience in interaction design, human‑computer interaction, or related subject.
  • 10–12 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role.
  • Experience designing for enterprise and/or internal tools to simplify workflows, scale, and support automation for internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Proven track record of partnering closely with other teams to influence positive outcomes and propose well‑informed new directions.
  • Strong independent problem‑solving skills, self‑direction, and innovative thinking.
  • Business acumen, including experience measuring and calibrating the impact of your work against key business and customer experience goals.
  • Self‑motivated team player with refined and assertive leadership skills.
  • Experience teaching and mentoring others.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team, white‑boarding, and working directly with developers for implementation of designs.
  • Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently.
  • Expert level knowledge of Interaction Design, Visual Design, Information Architecture, and User Research.
  • Demonstrated success of quantitative and qualitative research analysis and collection techniques.
  • Proven track record with prototyping and taking a product from idea to launch and beyond.
  • Ability to understand broader/holistic organizational context and goals.
  • Strong understanding of WCAG2.2AA guidelines and how to design for adherence.
