We are seeking a highly motivated M&A Analyst to join our M&A team within Global Investment Banking. Based in London and working closely with senior colleagues across Europe, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-profile transactions across infrastructure, power, energy transition and related sectors. Our M&A division advises leading financial investors, corporates and sponsors on complex buy-side and sell-side transactions across EMEA. The team is recognised for its strong sector expertise, integrated product offering and collaborative, cross-border approach.
As an Analyst, you will play a key role in the origination and execution of Infrastructure M&A transactions, working closely with senior bankers, financing and debt advisory teams, and sector coverage colleagues across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting the origination and execution of M&A mandates in the infrastructure space
- Preparation of marketing and pitching materials including research, modelling and valuation
- Assisting in buy-side and sell-side execution, including transaction documentation
- Building and reviewing complex financial models
- Conducting detailed sector and asset research
- Supporting transaction processes and coordination
- Contributing to team development and mentoring
Location: London, United Kingdom (Europe)
Education: Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent. Progress towards CFA, ACA or a relevant postgraduate qualification.
Experience: Prior experience of working within M&A in a global banking or investment banking environment. Strong interest in infrastructure, power, energy transition or TMT. Sector expertise in infrastructure, renewables or TMT.
Required Skills: Excellent financial modelling, valuation and accounting skills. Knowledge of project or acquisition finance and understanding of broader infrastructure product offerings. Strong team spirit and multicultural awareness. Excellent communication skills. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic. Commercially minded with confidence in client interactions. Advanced Excel and modelling capability.
