About your team
The Multi Asset Investment Directing function is part of Fidelity International's Asset Management division, responsible for driving commercial development and client engagement. The team works closely with the Multi Asset Investment team and Fidelity's solutions design function, providing client insights as well as representing the investment capability externally.
This team provides a critical link between Fidelity's Multi Asset investment capability and our global distribution network, representing the capabilities to prospective and existing clients, leading ongoing client relationships, promoting thought leadership and research insights, and contributing to the development of new capabilities as markets evolve. The team combines skillsets in client engagement with deep understanding of the investment capability and the industry - bringing these together to support clients and grow Fidelity's business.
Fidelity Multi Asset manages over £64bn in assets for clients across wholesale, institutional and pension propositions (as at 31 December 2025, including discretionary and advised assets). We use a team‑based investment process, drawing on Fidelity's global research and investment platform, with key investment hubs in the UK, Italy, Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Japan.
About your role
You'll join Fidelity's Multi Asset Investment Directing team, reporting to the Head of Multi Asset Investment Directing. The role will focus on the UK wholesale market, working across Fidelity's proposition in unitised funds, MPS and customised solutions.
- Driving commercial strategy for Fidelity Multi Asset's UK wholesale business, working directly with the investment team and distribution channels to grow the brand and proposition in the UK.
- Representing Fidelity's Multi Asset capability across the industry, including conferences, platform presentations and broader marketing activity across the adviser‑led landscape, as well as ongoing engagement with clients. In practice, this includes insights on markets and asset allocation, investment process, portfolio activity and positioning as well as broader proposition development.
- Working with Fidelity's UK propositions team to develop and enhance marketing strategy for UK wholesale client base, creating relevant marketing material across the UK multi asset wholesale range.
- Working closely with Investment Specialists to develop and enhance a wide range of written material to support client engagement, including pitch books, reporting, marketing and training collateral, editorial content and thought leadership, RFP/RFI submissions and competitor analysis.
- Supporting broader Multi Asset business development and capability strategy, bringing the voice of the client to team strategy and decision‑making.
About you
With a solid background in financial markets and a deep understanding of the UK multi asset landscape, you will be able to demonstrate the following core skills and competencies:
- Commercial experience in the UK wholesale market.
- Acting as an agent for growth in the UK market, bringing deep experience across the commercial landscape, understanding the investment challenges, cost and regulatory factors influencing advisers and their clients.
- Experience working across unitised fund ranges, MPS propositions and customised solutions, understanding the drivers of commercial success and working flexibly with clients around their needs.
- Effective proposition development, with experience in delivering multi asset investment capabilities for the UK market.
- Strong understanding of the UK competitive landscape, with insight on key evolving trends and positioning.
- Awareness of Fidelity's broader commercial priorities and the UK business in the context of the global business.
- Strong investment knowledge and technical understanding.
- A passion for investing, with a solid understanding of markets, macro dynamics and asset class behaviour in a multi asset context.
- Deep experience of multi asset investment processes, including asset allocation, portfolio construction, implementation and risk management.
- Understanding of customisation in a multi asset context, including principles of solution design and experience in working iteratively with clients to develop and evolve strategies in line with their needs.
- Strong analytical skills, including risk analysis and performance attribution. Proven ability to work independently using a range of systems to translate data to insight for clients.
- Excellent attention to detail, writing skills and ability to assimilate key investment messages in a range of formats.
- Experience in operational processes, including product development and structuring, client onboarding and set‑up, with strong understanding of the relevant links to the investment process.
- CFA, IMC or equivalent qualifications are preferred.

- Strong presentation skills, with experience delivering impactful messages across a range of formats in the UK industry, including platform and keynote presentations, media engagement, panel discussions and broader marketing activity.
- Leadership expertise, with proven experience in driving commercial development by collaborating with stakeholders across investment teams and broader business areas.
- Sound judgement and a pragmatic approach to generating business outcomes, with ability to navigate complex challenges, make decisions and work independently.
- Excellent collaboration and a strong team player, with experience in training team members, educating broader business functions and effectively managing stakeholders.
